Poster Size
Posters should be a maximum of 3 feet wide and 4 feet tall. If your poster is larger than this it will not fit on the easel and the excess will be obscured by neighboring posters. Given that poster easels will be rented from a local supplier, we can not guarantee easel dimensions Ð every effort will be made to ensure the easels will be large enough. Please check back to this page prior to printing your poster, as the most up to date information will be posted here.
If you have created your poster with a program such as PowerPoint, it is often easy to print out handouts Ð or small version of your posters. Such handouts are often useful for the audience and for other researchers.

Poster Awards
If you are a student and are the first author on a poster, you may be eligible for consideration of a student award. In order to be considered, you must follow directions for student awards when submitting your abstract. Posters will be judged during the poster session and awards will be announced at the end of the morning session (approximately 12:15 p.m.). Awards will be given for the best graduate student poster, best undergraduate poster, and best high school poster.
To be considered for a student award, the student must submit a copy of their valid student
card and be present during the poster session. If the student can not be present, another
author may present the poster, but the poster will not be eligible for an award. Send a copy
of your student card by February 28, 2008 to:

Cancellation
Prior to submitting an abstract, an author should be confident that they will be attending the symposium. If circumstances prevent attendance, the first option should be to find another person to make the presentation. If it is not possible to find another presenter, the author should notify Hugi Selbie at Hugo.Selbie@noaa.gov as soon as possible so that the program may be as accurate as possible.
